 Icollectist is a research-driven architecture and design studio founded in 2025 by Yunus Emre Kara and Sinemis Sarıgül Kara, operating at the intersection of space, material, and meaning. Built upon over 15 years of professional experience in architecture, interior design, and product development, the studio engages deeply with the cultural, environmental, and emotional forces that shape our everyday surroundings.

Approaching architecture as both a material and ethical practice, icollectist aims to create transformative spatial experiences across a wide range of typologies and scales — from interiors to buildings, from objects to strategic design systems. Each project is treated as a site of inquiry, where form, function, and atmosphere emerge through rigorous attention to context, narrative, and human experience.

Based in Istanbul and engaging with international contexts, icollectist works within the tension between local specificity and global dynamics. Technology is embraced not as a spectacle, but as a tool for precision, complexity, and expressive clarity. Organic and parametric forms, digital craftsmanship, and sustainable strategies form the core vocabulary of the studio’s design language.

Through both commissioned and self-initiated work, icollectist approaches design as a mediating force between people and their environments — visible and invisible, built and imagined. This integrated outlook allows the studio to act simultaneously as a critical voice and a constructive actor within the contemporary design landscape.
